How Much Is Enough?
Follow the baby's cues, not a number. At least 6 wet diapers per day by day 5. Steady weight gain. Baby seems satisfied after feedings.
Bottle Feeding Amounts
Birth to 2 weeks: 1 to 3 ounces per feeding. 2 weeks to 2 months: 3 to 5 ounces. 2 to 4 months: 4 to 6 ounces. Never force the baby to finish the bottle.
Growth Spurts
Around 2 to 3 weeks, 6 weeks, 3 months, and 6 months, the baby may seem constantly hungry. This is normal and temporary. It lasts 2 to 3 days.
